Ingredients
For the Bimi® Baby Broccoli
12 oz Bimi® Baby Broccoli, washed and trimmed if needed
1 tablespoon neutral oil (canola, avocado, or vegetable oil)
For the Zesty Nam Jim Aioli
½ cup good-quality mayonnaise (such as Hellmann’s/Best Foods or Kewpie)
1 garlic clove, finely grated or minced
1 red bird’s eye chili, finely minced (remove seeds for less heat, or substitute ½ red jalapeño)
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon brown sugar or palm sugar
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (stems and leaves), finely chopped
Directions
Blister the Bimi® Baby Broccoli
Heat a large cast iron or heavy-bottom skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Add the oil, then the Bimi® Baby Broccoli in a single layer. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, turning occasionally, until the stems are tender-crisp and the florets are lightly charred in spots. Transfer to a serving platter.
Make the Nam Jim Aioli
In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, fish sauce, and brown sugar until the sugar has mostly dissolved.
Add the mayonnaise, garlic, chili, and cilantro. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
Rest & Serve
Let the aioli sit for about 5 minutes so the flavors meld together. Taste and adjust with more lime juice or fish sauce if desired.
Serve the blistered Bimi® Baby Broccoli warm with the Nam Jim Aioli alongside for dipping or drizzled over the top.
