Bimi® Baby Broccoli Puff Pastry Rolls

These savory puff pastry rolls filled with tender Bimi® baby broccoli and creamy cheese make for an elegant appetizer or a delightful addition to any occasion.​

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed if frozen
  • 1 cup Bimi® Baby Broccoli, rinsed and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup cream cheese (about 4 oz)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste​

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.​
  2. Prepare the Bimi® Baby Broccoli filling:
    In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the chopped Bimi® Baby Broccoli and sauté for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.​
  3. Assemble the rolls:
    Unroll the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the sheet into 6 equal rectangles. Spread a layer of cream cheese onto each rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges.

    Top with a spoonful of the sautéed Bimi® Baby Broccoli mixture. Roll each rectangle from one short end to the other, enclosing the filling. Place the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.​

  4. Bake:
    Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg to give them a golden finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.​
  5. Serve:
    Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.​
